ADVENTURE “BACK TO NATURE” IN
FINNISH LAPLAND 2008/2009 (7 days/6 nights)
CONCEPT
WINTER PROGRAM
Day
1
Arrival and welcome at Cold Spirit place or at the cottage park.
Briefing
about the week program, weather circumstances, clothing advise and so on.
Day
2
Today
you will learn how to drive a snowmobile,
a very nice and fast way
of
moving through the snowy forest. (2 persons/1 snowmobile)
When
you follow the advices of the guide, it’s not difficult to drive the
snowmobile.
You will get used to it very soon and enjoy the wonderful
nature!
The tour will take about 3 hours including a lunch break at an open
campfire in the forest.
Day
3
We
start with icefishing, but before we can catch any fish, we need to
make
holes in the ice. The guide will explain the new and old
icefishingtechnics
of this area and after that you can try to catch your own
fish
by laying down on the ice at a reindeerskin!
In
the afternoon, we can visit a souvenirshop in Juoksengi. There you can
alraedy
cross the magic Pool circle.
Day
4
At
this day, you can meet the huskies! Very nice dogs with an enormous
will
to work. All of them are very friendly and the musher will tell you
everything
about those lovely huskies and how you can manage by driving
your
sledge (2 persons/1 slegde)
After
the safetybriefing, the huskies bring you to the forest and you will
have
a nice snack and coffee/tea at the campfire. Enjoy the silence and
being
together with the huskies.

Optional
day. It’s possible to book some extra activities against morecosts
like
the Northernlight snowmobile tour or the Elk snowmobiletour. Ofcourse
you
can also go for crosscountry skiing, downhill skiing or bring a visit to
Santa Village in Rovaniemi.
In
the evening, we go to Aavasaksahill and try a new way of walking: with
snowshoes!!
The guide will explain how to walk with the snowshoes and
after
that we will make a nice and wonderful tour with of course coffee/tea
in
a Laavu with a wonderful view to the Tornioriver.
This is the longest river of Europe and it’s the border in this area between Sweden and Finland.
The Crownpark is a National
park and there are living
Day
6
At
the last day of your Lapland visit, you can try to catch you own
reindeer
and if you succeed, you will make a reindeer tour of ±3 hours to
the
forest including hot drinks and pancakes in the forest. (2 persons/sledge)
Enjoy
the silence, nature and this wonderful and most important animal of
Lapland!

7
Departure
to the airport. Welcome again in Lapland!

Accommodation is
possible at Cold Spirit place till 4 persons, but we can also arrange a
cottage/room in a cottagepark quite near our place!
