Concept-Trail program

(June, July, August, September )

(8 days/7 nights)

Day 1

Arrival and welcome. Introduction of Cold Spirit Riding Tours, the place and of course the icelandic horses. There will be a wonderful dinner waiting for you in the grilli kota!

Day 2

Today we will leave for the first place to overnight in the forest; Porokämppä. It’s a nice and authentic Lappish cottage without any luxury. It’s a place where reindeer herder catch the reindeer in the spring and autumn. This place is surrounded by red-coloured rocks and has a special landscape. Enjoy the way of living in old Lapland time! (riding about 2 hours)

Day 3

After the breakfast and cleaning the cottage, we leave for our next place to spend the night, Eholampi. This is a very nice cottage in the middle of the forest with it’s own lake and a very nice Finnish sauna. Of course we will have a traditional Lappish meal! (riding about 2 hours)

Day 4

Today we go back to Cold Spirit place. The tour of today, crosses many fields and again a totally different kind of landscape. Her you can maybe see the Golden Eagle! (riding about 3,5 hours)

In the evening after dinner, we make a guided tour at Aavasaksa hill, the park is called : Crown Park. Enjoy the wonderful view of Sweden and Finland! Overnight at Cold Spirit place.

Day 5

Today a long ride to Jopavaara (hill). During the day we have several breaks, also for a lunch or dinner at open fire! (Kekovaara laavu) Enjoy nature, horse riding and the silence of the forest! In June and July, we will ride back home in the evening or night time. This midsummer night is a special experience! (riding about 4/5 hours)

Day 6

Now it’s time for a short but very beautiful tour, we will visit Kivivaara laavu. We can reach it by using reindeer tracks through the swamp and forest. Enjoy the wonderful landscape and maybe we see reindeer or other wild animals. If it’s possible because of the weather, we can make time today to go for a swim with the horses in the Portimojärvi (lake) (riding about 2 hours)

Day 7

Last but not least: a long tour to Aavasaksa hill with lunch break near to the Tengeliö river with a great view! (riding about 5 hours) Goodbye dinner in grilli kota at Cold Spirit place.

Day 8

Unfortunately, time for departure

Inclusive : 8 days/7 nights all inn. Including transfer airports Kemi/Tornio or Rovaniemi, visit souvenir shop, guiding in German, French, Dutch or English, using helmets from Cold Spirit Riding Tours and a Welcome surprise

Exclusive : Flights and alcoholic drinks

Horse riding : 6 days totally with a minimum of 2 riding hours and a maximum of 5 hours in one day.

Age : 18 years or very experienced younger riders in deliberation

Max. weight : 90 kg

Min. Amount of people is 1, max. is 3 persons
