Safari to Kivivaara Laavu

Concept Week program including 2-day safari

(8 days/7 nights)

Day 1

Arrival and welcome. Introduction of Cold Spirit Riding Tours, the place and of course the icelandic horses. There will be a typical Lappish dinner waiting for you in the grilli kota!

Day 2

We start the week with a short but nice ride to Kivivaara laavu. There we will have makkara (Finnish sausages) and drink traditional coffee or tea. After that we go back to the stables. In the evening, dinner is waiting for us.

Day 3

Today, we will ride to a very beautiful cottage in the forest, where we will spend the night. The cottage is situated in the middle of the forest and has it’s own lake where you can take a cold swim after having a nice hot sauna! After that, we will enjoy a typical Lappish meal.

Day 4

After cleaning the cottage, we go back to Cold Spirit place. The tour of today, crosses many fields and again a totally different kind of landscape. Here you can maybe see the Golden Eagle!

In the evening after dinner, we make a guided tour at Aavasaksa hill, the park is called : Crown Park. Enjoy the wonderful view of Sweden and Finland! Overnight at Cold Spirit place.

Day 5

Resting day for the horses. In the morning our guests can enjoy a ride with a tilt-cart with Finn horses, then lunch and after that we visit a reindeer farm and Santa Claus Village in Rovaniemi.

Day 6

Today we make a ride to Kekovaara laavu. Views are great when you go up hill and look behind. You will see Portimojärvi (lake). In this part of the forest, it’s also quit certain that we will meet a lot of reindeer! After lunch break we ride back home and have dinner.

Day 7

Last but not least: a long tour to Aavasaksa Hill with lunch break near to the Tengeliö river with a great view! (riding about 5 hours) Goodbye dinner in grilli kota at Cold Spirit place.

Day 8

Departure to the airport.

Information week program (8 days, 7 nights)

Date : May till November (Riding 2 till 5 hours a day)

Inclusive : 8 days/7 nights all inn. Including transfer airports Kemi/Tornio or Rovaniemi. horse riding, visit reindeer farm, Rovaniemi and a tilt-cart with Finn horses, guiding in German, French, Dutch or English, using helmets and a welcome surprise of Cold Spirit Riding Tours.

Age for riding tours : 18 years or very experienced younger riders in deliberation.

Children under 12 year, 25% reduction
